Did you know you can get rid of your acne spots with honey? Well, if you are having a breakout try using the honey on your kitchen counter rather than buying a skin-drying pimple cream. You can simply apply a little bit of honey on your face during a breakout and sleep.

When you wake up you will find your skin less stressed. Just take a cotton swab swirl in a little bit of honey there and apply on the blemishes. You can even boost the results by adding a little bit of tea tree oil and lavender oil to the honey. Trust me this does wonders for the skin.

Honey Cleanser For Your Face

Now you may think honey won’t make a good face wash it is quite the opposite. Honey works as an amazing cleanser for the face. While you can’t really remove delicate eye makeup with it but it works amazingly in removing other types of makeup.

This honey cleanser becomes especially potent when you pair it with your favorite natural plant oil and spices. One of the best cleansers you can have for your skin is when you mix honey and oil. Coconut or Jojoba oil works best for cleansing.

Mix these two up and you will see that it results in a balmy concoction. You can spice like cinnamon, turmeric or nutmeg for added benefits. Then just massage your face with the cleanser and you will see the makeup slowly getting off. The reason why I love this homemade honey cleanser is that it moisturizes your skin while loosening the makeup.

What you are eating matters as much as what you are putting on your skin. There are plenty of foods that are good for your skin. You need to have a diet specifically aiding in giving you healthy skin. Some of the best foods for healthy skin include:

  • Sunflower Seeds: Sunflower seeds are amazing. They carry 37% of the RDI for vitamin E, 32% of the RDI for selenium, 10% of the RDI for zinc and 5.4 grams of protein. This is great for making your skin look healthy and blemish-free.
  • Sweet Potatoes: Sweet potatoes have provitamin A which is turned into vitamin A by the body and has Beta-carotene. These do wonders for your skin and a lack of these things will hamper your skin.
  • Red or Yellow Bell Peppers: They are very much like the sweet potatoes. They are rich in vitamin A and this means that they are a vital part of the best foods for good skin.
